G9BF was "a man of many callsigns", as he once admitted:-
"Real DX never worked with T9x note, hence was always T3 here at G9BF, achieved by keying VFO HT line with hefty condenser across hacksaw blade bug key to give pleasing and pile-up busting back-wave chirp, although can only send dashes, hence alternative call OM0TO when working full QSK".
Also, if you look in various editions of SWM for 1950 you will find "G1BF" has a occasional column.
