Which I did do, using complex numbers. And, of course, 'slog' it was. I ended up with a number of cubic equations for the 'unknowns' with horrendous co-efficients consisting of the 'knowns'. The solution of similarly complicated quadratics I might contemplate, but cubics such as what I derived . . . . no chance! But it was an interesting exercise.
