Default VHF modulators

Hi All,

I am looking at building a vhf modulator for the Ferguson (and any others I may find)

I have looked at David Loosers design, And Jeffreys one too, and have been trying to see what Darius has done as well, so I wonder,

Which method would give the better results?

I would prefer a free running oscillator (as you would need four crystals for both London or Birmingham)

David Loosers design appears to be repeatable as the ICs used are still available.

I would envisage producing A PCB for the finished design - this way other people could just assemble a small kit and be able to getr fairly easy results.

I wonder if a wide bandwidth PA device on the output would be a reasonable idea, to bring the output up to 500mw - this would allow more than one set to benefit from the signal......

any comments??

Cheers
Sean
