I agree with Livewire. Just connect that socket using a suitable lead to the auxiliary, tape or cd input of an amplifier and see what you get. It is mono so you'll only get sound out of one speaker of a stereo amp. I too have that set but I'm hundreds of miles away from it at the moment. Although in wireless parlance MB can mean multi-band, in this instance I think it's mains-battery.
