It seems at least debatable where the living is relatively easy: a study I was sent the other day finds pensioners faring most comfortably in the North East and Midlands, and worst off in London, followed by the South East, South West and Yorkshire.
As far as the present survey is concerned, I've registered my presence in the NE, but will before long be dropping off the map into the unrecordable territory of north Norfolk.
