That admittedly small DC motor is in a number of Teac decks. Perhaps the best way to destroy it is playing sticky shed tapes. I've had some success repairing motors that weren't too damaged from overloading. When removing and refitting the motor it's important to retain all washers in their original positions, at least on reversing models.
