Any supplier that won't refund a faulty item is to be avoided like the plague, so please accept both my commiserations for your experience and my thanks for the warning.

If the seller were in the UK, they would presumably be in breach of the law and could be prosecuted. At least PayPal should come to your rescue.

By the way, was this the Chinese offering or the one from alldav?
