Agreed, cheap controller clones are available from e-bay, ali etc. Just make sure you get the right one, there is also a Hakko clone iron and controller that uses a thermistor not a thermocouple and the seller's tend to use the same number for both. I have bought several that turned out to be the opposite of what was listed.
