I fitted a brand new faulty cap to a wireless just a few months ago, it happens.

I could swap those left to right and see if the problems migrates - ten minute job.

Going forward can anyone suggest a reasonable transistor tester that would be worth purchasing?
Alternatively a second hand oscilloscope though would have to learn how to use?
