Well there's a coincidence. My uncle had an advert in that very issue for some UK101 games he wrote (p. 99).

Built it in 1980 it has very Scrumpi-like origins but I changed it a bit, I used a bytewide ram and piggybacked a 2716 eprom on top with Kitbug, to which I added bits & bobs which became KitbugPlus as on the PICL V2.
In its original (simplest) form the programming is supremely tedious:
Set the toggles for C4 (load immediate)
Single step
Set the toggles for the byte you want to store
Single step
Set the toggles for C9 (store relative to P1)
Single step
Set the toggles for the address you want to store it at
Single step
.... and repeat!!! Four steps per byte entered. It was bliss to run Kitbug!
