Is this the speaker or the output transformer. The speaker goes to a transformer in most cases, but not in some Philips sets. Has it got one on this set?

This transformer is on the chassis or mounted on the speaker itself. Those readings are a bit worrying. Have you checked the transformer secondary or the speaker?
