Hi,
Mine is a model 8 Mk V and the only thing remotely like a serial number is on a label on the right-hand side and repeated inside the battery compartment. It is:
0024693 LA 8V
The "LA" is over to the right and the "8V" is on a line below the number 0024693. There are no identifying marks on the movement face.
