Rechecked 6 above and transformer tap 12 does connect to Board 1 tag 28 as previously thought. The connection shown on the schematic from Board 1 tag 28 to Board 2 tag 29 does not exist in my scope.

This means the AC supply to the scope calibration circuit is actually taken from one end of the transformer 155 volt winding (tap 12) as against one end of the 46 volt winding (tap 13) as shown on the schematic, for reasons unknown.
