Thanks everyone. In the end, I managed to file off sufficient material to get the flywheel to turn. I don't have friends with lathes but maybe in future I'll look at it again; for now I'm content to have the set such that I can tune it. The flywheel looks bad but isn't in immediate danger of breaking apart and inside the set nobody is going to see it. Now for the fun bit doing the electronics. When I get it going I'll do a success story. Cheers, Jerry
