Yes, the Ferguson 3787 was made by Normende (FV1 chassis) and as you say was a stop gap model whilst waiting for the TX9 chassis to finish being developed.

The Thorn (Nordmende) 3787 was a completely different chassis to the OPs Telefunken set.
