Hello all,

I am currently involved in a research project focused on the history of television manufacturing in the UK. I have chosen to use the Philips factory which once occupied Commerce Way in Croydon as my case study. This thread is intended to gather any information on the site that people are willing to share. If you have any stories or facts however trivial, they would all be very much appreciated as so far I only have a limited resource of information. So far I know that the factory opened in 1957, it produced colour television sets (G6, G8, G9, G11) and no longer stands where it once used to be. I still can't even find out when it closed?

So if you have any info at all, please do comment.
