Depending on the type of converter, there may not have been any other mods.

The simplest type pick up HT and LT from the set, and consist of an oscillator and a mixer, downconverting band 3 to band 1.

The more complex ones have all the RF for bands 1 and 3 in a box, and plug in in place of the mixer valve. In this case there may be some small mods to correct gain or voltages.
