The "89" in the code suggests version release in 1989 (certainly nowhere near 2000!), so Ford dealers might just smile thinly if asked for any decoding advice 30 years on- but I guess there's no harm in trying. The well-known auction site offers lots of decoding services with varying charges (will generally be low for an old Ford-brand radio, though) and varying levels of convincing-ness.

They're not bad units, with good radio sensitivity and features, I had a couple in 3 successive Fords. (Though one suffered leakage of a loudspeaker coupling capacitor, eating through some fine tracks- not too bad a fix.)
