Default Dutch Auction of Microphones & Radios

I have just been sent a noification about this auction. It sounds like a quite extensive collection is being auctioned. How you get goods back to the UK is another matter!

(original email)

Vendu Rotterdam is organising it’s first collectibles auction Monday November 8th.

In this first edition we will auction off an important collection of historical microphones (1925-1965) collected over a period spanning more than 50 years by Mr Martinus Meijer (nicknamed MR Microphone). This comprehensive collection consists of hundres of microphones including some very rare ones like a Marconi carbon microphone, type Reisz from ca. 1925 and an RCA Condenser microphone (NBC), type AA 4088 from ca. 1928.

Also we offer you a large collection of historical radio’s, including one of the very first ones made in Holland by the Dutch pionneer Idzerda but also gramophones (including the very last gramophone Edison brought onto the market in 1929), phonographs and ennamel advertising signs (including a rare one of His Master’s Voice Radio from ca. 1930).

Last but not least we have a large collection of historical camera’s and projectors including lots of Leica and Hasselblad.

The online catalogue in English can be found on:

The auction takes place Monday November 8th and will be a live auction. If you register through our website, you can follow the auction and place bids. We also accept absent bids.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Met vriendelijke groet / Kind regards,

drs. Peter van der Waal
