So it is an 8S (MK1) Admiralty Pattern (AP12945) with a tag "A.S.R.E." (Admiralty Signal and Radar Establishment 1948 to 1959).And with a sticker from Navy Department.

So, can any body give any information about the label in the photo that was attached to the handle? See photo.
