Ok, i think i now understand. There are 2 push buttons REV/MC, the baquelite one that we find in AVO 8 (mk1) Photo 1, the one like mine that is made of rubber and a washer (photo 2) and the rotary one that Refugee said (photo 3).

If this is correct, perhaps Richards page is wrong Photo 4
