I used to have one of the 4-in-a-line Masterplug strips (in white) wired to the output of my little UPS and used to power the ADSL router and the PC/monitor, because at the time the power supply here was flaky (overhead lines running through a forest . . ) and sometimes the power would fail several times a day so the poor ADSL never 'trained' properly.
I may well still have the strip and a couple of the plugs in the attic. These days rather than the Masterplug approach I'd use a multi-way IEC309 socket-strip instead - Dell do some nice ones:
