I have asked a couple of times how charity shops price up items and invariably they reply that they take prices from ebay.

What people ask for sets and what they sell for are two entirely different prices.

I often try to barter when I see something in a charity shop seriously over priced
- such as 78RPM records - but they rarely budge. Oh well, their loss.
