It is certainly very difficult to make a living now, I have a few loyal (mainly elderly) customers who still bring me repair jobs.
Since the closure of the local TV shop, I seem to have the market to myself!
I really don't enjoy repairing modern flatscreen TV's, unless it is a PSU fault,
I usually source a second hand board.
I certainly will not be getting a SMD rework station anytime soon!
