Default Interesting Philips cassette deck

Philips FC141 cassette deck, 1984. This is the one that did quite well in Hi-Fi Choice, much to the surprise of Noel Keywood! They'd tried to make it a bit more conventional, with RCA connectors and signal levels along with size and colouring to match the established NAD 3020 amplifier. Even though it looks a bit Oriental this is a completely European machine, apart from the mains transformer it seems to have all made 'in house'. The tape transport mechanism is quite unusual, although it is clearly of high quality.

Needs attention, the erase head has gone gooey (like all Philips ones of this era seem to) so I've not tried a tape in it. However, the belts and plastic gears all look OK and its not been messed with.

5, PM me if you'd like it.
