The old 1960's Fluke differential voltmeters had far better AC accuracy than their modern DVM's.

As an example, the 1967 vintage 887A on the 500V to 1000V range is specified as:

30Hz to 10kHz +/-0.1% and 10kHz to 20kHz +/-0.15% +0.01% of range.

Looking at the schematic, there are compensation capacitor on the input attenuator and throughout the front end.
