After oiling via the hole it still did not run so to bits it is !
I had to lever the sides to get the mech out ( not a pretty sight )
I then cleaned and oiled it .
Still would not run . I found if I put the mech back in the case but not all the way in ( about 1 mm ) It would run !
Don’t know why this is but it’s working .
Still noisy but at least the numbers go round .
