Default Re: My PCL86 SE amp

So, I did what Torben suggested, connected the unused pentode in parallel with the output pentode. The result was more output power, but heavily distorted. The power supply has plenty of spare capacity so I suspect the output transformer is not up to it. Suppose it would make a nice heavy metal guitar amp. I might try this again with another transformer, I have somewhere a Grundig EL84 transformer, but where?
