Default Re: Scanning Publications - Rules?

We have had a quick natter in the staff room, this response from Paul Stenning should be considered a minimum acceptable standard.

Quote:
A rule that followed the letter of the law would say no, unless it's out of copyright (70 years from death of author or something), but that's not realistic.

I'd say as long as it isn't recent (say last 5 years) and is just a single article (not a whole publication) and is of relevance to the forum it's OK, but if the publisher or author requests its removal it will be removed.

The source of the material (magazine title and date etc) should also be clearly stated.
So long as the post complies with the above we will have no problems

Cheers
Sean
