Prompted by a post in the computer section.
Has anyone come across a programmed telehone where the called number was pre set by looping a wire through a set of magnets.
I met this in an old African rail station,where due to excess use of external calls the station staff could not make outgoing calls and needed some way of calling me for technical help.
