Hi all.

The Sonotone cart in my Hacker radiogram needs replacing. Whilst it still works on both channels the rubber ears have hardened causing it to loose Bass and jump on occasion. I don't have another working Sonotone but I do have a few BSR SC12M and H carts that would do but I was wondering if it would be worth fitting a magnetic cart with a pre amp mounted under the turntable. Your thought please people. I have four or five of the Sonotone carts all with the same problem. I have read numerous threads here about people repairing BSR carts with some success. Has anyone tried to open up a Sonotone and do a repair on it?
