I remember the Telcan vtr mentioned in post #3 becoming aware of it in middle 60s.I tried a number of experiments with existing audio machines in order to record video in this period.Very primative though,getting a TK5 to record in fast forward was not easy and resulted in lots of on screen noise and laughter from my workmates.Absolutely no attention paid to trivial details like preemphasis and deemphasis and other things like heads etc.Still if you don't try you never learn.Peter.
