There are plenty of basic electrical appliances, furniture, garden tools, toys, picture frames and a miscellany of other items arriving for repair, which can be tackled by anyone with common sense, the right tools and the confidence to have a go. The bulk of these items were destined for the tip anyway, so often there's nothing to lose, and frequently much to gain.
