I remember mending a similar vintage Sugden A48 (see picture of one here: http://www.danny.mcnulty.btinternet.co.uk/audio.html) for my piano teacher when I was at school. He had paid quite a lot for it, and it really sounded special with his Linn Sondek and Tangent speakers.

But the quality of the soldering was really very poor indeed, as if it had been assembled by unskilled amateurs
