Default "Interesting" DAC90 project

I just bought a DAC90 which didn't cost a fortune. The description was honest enough, "good case and knobs, but some valves missing and insides have been messed with". I am not unhappy with the radio, but it is such a radical example of invasion by "The Phantom", that I had to share it with you all. Just a quick look over, because I am off out with the band now, but I knew things were awry when I spotted a battery holder neatly sited behind the back cover. Off with the back and whew, the tuning assembly is all there and working, but the wires from the tuning cap disappear under the chassis and I can just see a PCB! The rectifier and output valve are still there, but not much else on top. Interesting project or what? Steve.
