http://www.royalsignals.org.uk/ holds a vast archive of military radio, communications and electronics information, including field telephones and exchanges. You have to apply to join (no cost) and requesting the information is a bit tortuous, but it arrives by e-mail as a password-protected PDF and it's well worth it.
