Default Re: Trio 9R-59D receiver problems.

I've sent you three components all have which have been tested and found to be good.

C34 replacement 0.01uF 400 Volt. Coupling capacitor.
R35 replacement 330R 2W. Cathode resistor.
C37 replacement 10uF 25V. Cathode bypass capacitor.

Only fit C34 at this time, it can be fitted either way round. The other components may not need to be replaced. You will note that it is a 400 Volt component, but that's more than adequate for a coupling capacitor.

Once you've fitted it check that the set is functional and then take DC voltage readings on all pins of V8 except pins 3 and 4 which are the heaters. Post the results here for analysis.

You can check the resistance of R35 before fitting C34. Its value should be within 10% of 330R, Expect your meter to take time to settle down to a steady reading as it'll be charging up C37 which is in parallel with R35.

I'll be away from home for a few days so I won't be able to respond to your posts as quickly as I've done up to now. If there's a problem with that hopefully another member will be able to assist you.
