Quite possibly similar issue to your TC366 Fast Forward issue due to the horrible Play/RWD/FFD selector switch mechanism where Play, FFD and RWD can be very difficult to stay latched due to mechanical set-up as referenced below. I hate working on that assembly and getting it in and out of the machine.
