I would suggest a quick look. It might me nothing more than a snapped wire. I am suprised that it broke. I recall mixing with a bunch of horses when motocycling in the dark & rain in the New Forest. My Avo went flying over my head, landing about 100 yds. further on.
Later checks revealed no fault whatever!
