What you are doing is exactly what any collector/restorer would do, buying and selling to keep the collection fresh, to get better examples, to get items you really want, and to clear space for them etc. Any profits fund future purchases and parts for restorations.
Dealers scooping up sets and parts just makes the whole hobby more expensive and less fun for the rest of us.
The GEC restoration could be an interesting article. I don't think we have had any dual standard mono sets for a little while, and there's always something new and different with each restoration.
