OK Now I have had the strangest thing of all happen...
I have lost my white line accross the screen for some reason and also the HT, until I meter the first anode voltage, then it all goes back to normal....
I have checked it's not a loose tube end, as it also happens if I just loosen the negative probe off the chassis...
