Hi Sam
Nice write up and useful hints on the repair of an issue with instability.
I could find no information on this radio in the Radio Museum.
It would be nice to see some photos of it in there and the service information if you have it.

If you can't add them to the Radio Museum yourself, you can email them to me if you like and I will propose it as a new model.
