Daiwa TW-1000 scanner
Hi looking for any infomation on this vhf scanner as far as i can find its xtal controled and made in early 70s. This had a pp3 nicad battery that was on a charger the charger went overvolt 12ish v left on charge overnight the battery was very hot so i replaced with standard pp3 on switch on only click from LS
on off was NOT turned on when in overvolt supply used, the battery was covered in a powdery substance this was not on pcb and the wires to the plugin charger are melted but wire to radio itsself isnt , any ideas would help Mick
