Graham, that's amazing, the very item! I'm guessing I must have bought it maybe two or three years ago, I can't remember just when. How did you find that link?
Al, anything's possible, although I would have thought SIR would stand for something to do with the missing component as opposed to the overall system. I agree OSC is likely to be short for 'oscillator'.
