Well done! It really is the link between the valve and transistor changeover.

I have one of these too - it too had the crumbling tuning gang grommets. A new volume pot and a electolytic cap, and a lot of elbow grease to remove the dried blood and guts from the case and grille. It belonged to a butcher! Thread is here:
