Yes, measure the width of the carriage. Assuming it's a heavy duty 'tacker' pressed against the work, rather than a desktop stapler pressed against the desk, you'll find a wide variety available. I had the same problem with my ancient Arrow tacker I acquired, and ended up being able to get some from the hardware shop in town for £4 or so, after a couple of false starts.

If you can't find any in a small enough quantity, or cheaply enough to be worth taking a risk, and no-one will let you test, then e-mail Rexel. I can't think that your one uses such a bizarre type of staple that it's totally different from current production. My Arrow uses some no-name Toolstation brand just as well, as the measurements are the same despite having totally different identifying numbers.
