Hi John,

Yours is an usual one because models of that vintage shouldn't have a DC input socket. Are you sure yours is a factory-fit one? I believe that dealers were able to fit the sockets at request. You might be able to tell by looking at the quality of the wood-work. A couple of photographs might be interesting...
