Thank-you very much for the replies guys, I am happy to say the 8901B seems to be working well, always a bit of a risk buying something like this and having it shipped across europe (Poland to N.Ireland) I have been using the bird 20dB attenuator ( £12 second hand) and all is good so far with the power, deviation, frequency and modulation all working in auto mode, I will have a read through the HP journal archives to find out more about the other features, I am very happy so far !
