Re: AVO Multimeter survey
Firstly, who is the current custodian of the master list? Peter (PMM) is that you?
Secondly, here finally is a fairly complete list of my Avos with serial numbers.
(some duplicates and spare items have recently been passed on to Sinewave.)
Original, 144187
Model 2, 1730 & 2080
Model 2A, 4448
Model 3, 13-1012
Model 4, 83-1909
Model 5 (s/n sadly painted over by previous owner during restoration!)
(Model 6 - still looking for one!)
7 Mk1, 19378-A-1150 (marked B.O.A.C. on faceplate!)
7 Mk2, 3526-A-762F
8 Mk1, 153771 & 13268-C-453
8 Mk2, 94068-C-759
8 Mk6, 0006899GE (9/84) - my workbench Avo
8 Mk7, 1043 M124139 000501 (long number!)
DC Avominor, 17811-74
Universal Avominor, 109440-650 & 40399-241
Heavy Duty, 9817-474
Plus some later digital and export ones that will be catalogued at a later date.
I am still keeping an eye out for early (pre Avo 7) avometers. So do PM me if you have anything of that ilk.
It occurs to me that this list (no names, just models and serials) forms a very valuable resource for tracing Avos that have been stolen or mislaid.
