I was listening the bands with my CR-70A mk2 over the weekend, and it worked very nicely. It works best when the IF control is rolled right back, and the volume control set to maximum, and adjust the sensitivity with the IF control, and volume on the external speaker depending on the signals coming in from the antenna.

The reception is very clean, dynamic and sensitive. The only thing I wish it had is a BAND SPREAD control for the ham bands.
